Job summary

Florida Canyon Mining, Inc. is seeking a Utility Technician to handle maintenance across the mine, including repair, carpentry, basic plumbing, and upkeep of fixed assets to minimize operational disruption.

The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and emphasizes safe, efficient completion of pre-shift inspections, record keeping, and teamwork in a challenging mining environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 2 years’ experience in a construction or mining environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and plumbing is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds is required.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator for extended periods is required.
  • Must have mobile equipment experience, such as forklift/telehandler, skid steer, excavator, is required.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a mine and plant setting which may include exposure to extreme temperatures, adverse weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles, is required.

POSITION OVERVIEW
