The Maintenance Technician 3 is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fixed plant and mineral processing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
This technical role requires advanced skills and experience.
This role supports crushing, conveying, grinding/milling, flotation, pumping, and related processing systems by performing corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on critical assets such as crushers, conveyors, ball mills, slurry pumps, motors, gearboxes, and process piping.
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in minimizing downtime by quickly diagnosing equipment failures, executing quality repairs, and identifying root causes to improve long-term reliability. Working closely with operations and metallurgy teams, this position helps ensure equipment availability meets production targets while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards, MSHA compliance, and best-practice maintenance procedures.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are rotating 12-hour shifts operating on a 7‑days‑on and 7‑days‑off schedule starting on Thursday and working through till the following Wednesday. This position will require work during weekends and holidays.
No travel is expected for this position.
