Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, AK is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general mechanical and preventative work on hospital utility systems, including electrical, emergency power, HVAC, water, sewer, steam, medical gas and security. On‑the‑job training is provided for boiler room equipment and DDC HVAC controls.

Required is a high school diploma (trade/technical school preferred) with basic plumbing, electrical tools, and computer know‑how; 40 hours per week, non‑exempt,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Trade/Technical School preferred.
• Basic knowledge of boilers and boiler room equipment; on‑the‑job training.
• Basic knowledge of computers; basic plumbing and electrical tools.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including computerized DDC control.
• HVAC systems knowledge, including computerized DDC control.

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of general mechanical and preventative maintenance activities for hospital Utility Systems including electrical, emergency power, heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, water, sewer, steam, medical gas (oxygen & air), medical vacuum, fuel, communications and security functions for YKDRH.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Trade/Technical School is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of boilers and related boiler room equipment Will provide on the job training. Basic knowledge of computers.
• Basic plumbing and electrical tools.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including computerized DDC control.
