Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Utility Systems Technician in Bethel, AK, to perform a range of mechanical and preventative maintenance on hospital utility systems. The role emphasizes electrical, HVAC, water/sewer, medical gas and security tasks in a regional health system.

On‑the‑job training is provided for boiler-related work. Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic computer knowledge, a valid Alaska driver’s license, and familiarity with HVAC/DDC controls.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/technical school preferred.
Basic knowledge of boilers and boiler room equipment; on‑the‑job training provided.
Basic knowledge of computers.
Valid Alaska Driver’s License.
Basic plumbing and electrical tools.
Knowledge of HVAC systems including computerized DDC control.

Responsibilities

Performs general mechanical and preventative maintenance for hospital Utility Systems: electrical, emergency power, HVAC, water, sewer, steam, medical gas, medical vacuum, fuel, communications and security.
