Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Toksook Bay is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor and operate the heating, water and filtration systems, and to perform general preventative maintenance to keep the center running smoothly.

Position Summary:

To perform work in the operations and/or monitoring of the heating system, water system, filtration system, and general preventative maintenance

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade/Technical School is preferred.
• On the job training.
• Valid State of Alaska Drivers license.
• 3rd Class Boiler Certificate required within first year of employment.
• Understanding and/or using computer applications.
• Must be familiar with equipment in facility and able to make manual adjustments or minor repairs.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
