Job summary

Sol Systems, based in Washington, DC, seeks a full-time Utility Scale Project Manager to deliver utility-scale solar projects from pre-NTP through Commercial Operation. The role requires coordination with EPCs, Owners Engineers, and various stakeholders to meet safety, schedule, and cost objectives.

Located in Washington, DC with a hybrid work model, monthly travel to project sites is expected. The base salary ranges from $120,000 to $160,000, plus benefits including health insurance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
• 5+ years in energy or renewable energy project management.
• Experience with Owner/Rep or General Contractor environments.
• Strong organizational and deadline-driven work style.
• Valid driver's license and OSHA 10 certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from NTP to Final Completion, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Manage EPC contractors, Owners Engineers, and key stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, identify risks, and mitigate delays.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, change orders, and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with permits, environmental commitments, and safety standards.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Provide executive reporting on project health, risks, and financial status.
