Job summary
Pure Power Engineering in Kansas City, KS, is seeking an experienced Electrical/Solar Design Engineer to design and produce construction documents for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects 50 MW and larger. The role focuses on comprehensive electrical design, system layouts, equipment specs, and wiring diagrams.
The candidate will contribute to detailed engineering designs, coordinate with clients and utilities, and ensure compliance with NEC and industry standards, while supporting multiple
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4 years designing commercial/utility-scale solar PV systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD construction documents, layer management, Xrefs.
- Strong NEC knowledge and electrical distribution fundamentals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects 50 MW+.
- Prepare complete construction drawing packages in AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with clients, utilities, and contractors.
- Respond to RFIs and evaluate field issues during construction.
- Ensure designs comply with codes and QA/QC processes.
- Support multiple projects and meet schedules.
