Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Utility-Scale Heavy Civil Division Manager to lead multiple projects from Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR, driving safety, productivity, and quality on site. You will mentor Superintendents, Foremen, and field leaders, ensuring coordinated planning of manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project goals.

The role demands 10+ years of heavy civil experience, strong leadership and communication, and a proven track record in budgeting, scheduling, and resource

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Heavy Civil construction experience, including utility-scale power, renewable energy, or large infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience leading multiple crews, Superintendents, and large-scale Heavy Civil operations.
• Strong knowledge of mass grading, earthwork, drainage systems, stormwater infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, GPS machine control, grading technology, and production management.
• Demonstrated experience with production planning, scheduling, manpower forecasting, equipment planning, and resource allocation.
• Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing operational budgets and project performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Heavy Civil operations across multiple utility-scale construction projects.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Superintendents, Foremen, and field leaders.
• Lead all aspects of earthwork, grading, site development, stormwater infrastructure, erosion control, and related civil construction operations.
• Ensure manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and resources are properly planned and coordinated to support project execution.
• Partner with Project Managers, Operations Leadership, Estimating, and executive leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive operational consistency through planning, communication, accountability, and execution.
