Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking a Project Coordinator to support utility infrastructure projects from the Phoenix, AZ area. The role builds on Associate responsibilities with required design/coordination experience and knowledge of area agencies and jurisdictions.

You will work on diverse technical teams, applying project management methodologies and tracking progress to meet deadlines. This position offers growth toward program management within HBK and its Quanta Services family.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from ABET/EAC‑accredited program.
• CAPM or PMP licensure recommended.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to track project performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with area agencies, municipalities, and governing jurisdictions.
• Ability to learn new Microsoft 365 apps for project management purposes.
• Problem-solving skills with ability to break down complex issues.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member on diverse technical teams involved in engineering design and construction of utility infrastructure.
• Solve complicated problems by breaking them down into manageable steps and applying project management methodologies.
• Work independently on day-to-day tasks and prioritize efforts based on deadlines and project requirements.
• Use software to track project performance in an organized and clear manner for internal and external use.
• Develop and maintain tracking metrics related to project design and permitting progress.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external teammates for collaboration.
• Provide support to project team leadership through assistance with project forecasts and analytics.
• Support budgeting and variance analysis related to project metrics.
• Review external schedules from owners, clients, and partners.
• Monitor and maintain schedules to meet deadlines.
• Develop non-technical program/procedural documents for efficiency.
• Coordinate activities and communications between team members and stakeholders.
• Assist with project documentation and reporting requirements.
• Apply utility design and coordination experience to enhance delivery.
