Job summary

Per Sé Group seeks a hands-on scheduler with Primavera P6 expertise to own and drive scheduling across a portfolio of utility capital work in North America. You’ll translate field progress into forecasts, manage critical paths, and push recovery plans with field teams and contractors.

This 12-month assignment offers $70–$80/hour, a 40-hour week, and per diem plus mileage for eligible travelers. Prior utility/T&D scheduling experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, update, and analyze integrated Primavera P6 schedules across multiple projects.
• Turn actual field progress into realistic forecasts and schedule updates.
• Track critical and near-critical paths, float consumption, milestones, dependencies, resource constraints, and outage impacts.
• Review contractor schedules and challenge assumptions when production or sequencing doesn’t support the plan.
• Spot emerging delays and develop recovery recommendations before they become missed commitments.
• Analyze productivity trends, schedule variance, SPI/CPI, resource needs, and portfolio performance.
• Lead schedule conversations with project managers, engineering, operations, outage coordination, resource planning, and contractors.

If you know when a contractor’s schedule is optimistic before the milestone slips, this is your kind of seat.

You’ll own scheduling across a portfolio of utility capital work, connecting what P6 says with what’s actually happening in engineering, outages, construction, restoration, and closeout. This is a role for someone who wants to drive the schedule, not just report on it.

What you’ll do:

• Build, maintain, update, and analyze integrated Primavera P6 schedules across multiple projects.
• Turn actual field progress into realistic forecasts and schedule updates.
• Track critical and near-critical paths, float consumption, milestones, dependencies, resource constraints, and outage impacts.
• Review contractor schedules and challenge assumptions when production or sequencing doesn’t support the plan.
• Spot emerging delays and develop recovery recommendations before they become missed commitments.
• Analyze productivity trends, schedule variance, SPI/CPI, resource needs, and portfolio performance.
• Lead schedule conversations with project managers, engineering, operations, outage coordination, resource planning, and contractors.

What you get: This is a 12-month assignment at $70–$80/hour, working a 40-hour, 7–4 schedule. Eligible travelers can receive $800/week per diem plus mileage at the standard IRS rate. You’ll work across a broad utility capital portfolio rather than spending the year maintaining one giant project schedule.

Who you are: You’re a hands‑on scheduler who has personally built and maintained schedules in P6. You understand CPM logic well enough to question what you’re seeing, and you’re comfortable getting information from the field instead of accepting a progress report at face value. Utility/T&D construction experience is strongly preferred.
