Qualus is seeking a Utility Permit Engineering Technician to support engineering in permitting and drawings. The role focuses on researching agency requirements and preparing CAD sketches that reflect right-of-way boundaries and existing utilities.

You will coordinate with client Permit Coordinators to obtain approvals, track corrections, and ensure timely submissions. Strong attention to detail and CAD proficiency are essential in this team-based function.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years coordinating with clients, permit authorities and internal teams to ensure timely permit drawings.
• Knowledge of Right of Way, Easements, road ownership and property boundaries.
• Proficiency in CAD software and document management processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CAD drawings showing right-of-way boundaries and existing utilities.
• Communicate with client Permit Coordinators to secure approvals and track changes.
• Understand and apply agency requirements for permits and drawings.
• Submit documents to client servers and repositories.
• Maintain up-to-date records of permitting requirements and training.
