Job summary

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring a CAD Technician for our PSG Chesapeake, VA office. The CAD Technician will work closely with engineering, right of way, land survey and permitting staff to produce high quality graphics and clearly communicate specifications to the design team.

AutoCAD knowledge is required; you will complete markups, report graphics preparation and assist with submittals.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with engineering, right of way, land survey and permitting teams to produce high-quality graphics.
• Ability to verbally communicate specifications and directions to and from the design team.
• Maintain QA/QC processes and requirements.
• Experience with electrical distribution design and/or utility design a plus.
• Ability to travel regionally between PSG offices.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality graphics in collaboration with engineering and permitting staff.
• Set up and prepare plans and complete markups.
• Report graphics preparation and submittals support.
• Maintain QA/QC processes and requirements.
