Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a Utility Operator to operate and maintain production equipment for animal feed and supplements. This role supports safe, high-quality production and requires following SOPs and safety guidelines.

Shifts are 3rd with four 10-hour days and a $1 shift differential. Eligible to lift up to 50-55 pounds and work around chemicals in a production environment. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail, with responsibilities

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in feed, grain or supplement processing preferred.
  • Ability to work any shift preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the efficiency of the production line to ensure timely load and shipment.
  • Be a reliable team member with prompt attendance and excellent performance.
  • Communicate with team members and leadership to improve processes.
  • Keep the worksite clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products.
  • Strictly adhering to safety guidelines throughout the facility.
  • Perform all processes in accordance with SOPs, including mixing, bagging, spray drying, and related equipment.

Job description

A Utility Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of animal feed and supplements. They ensure that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently, while adhering to safety and quality standards. The Utility Operator also performs routine checks on the equipment and reports any issues to the maintenance team. This role is essential in ensuring the timely and efficient production of high-quality animal feed and supplements. This is a 3rd shift position working four 10 hour days, Monday - Thursday with a $1 shift differential.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to operate and maintain production equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow safety and quality standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills for record keeping and data entry.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring the efficiency of the production line to ensure timely load and shipment.
  • Being a reliable team member with prompt attendance and excellent performance.
  • Communicating with team members and leadership to improve processes.
  • Keeping the worksite clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products.
  • Strictly adhering to safety guidelines throughout the facility.
  • Performing all processes in accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures, including the operation of mixing, bagging, spray drying, fluid bed drying and powered lift equipment.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in feed, grain or supplement processing or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to work any shift preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be physically able to operate motor vehicle and forklift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50-55 pounds repeatedly
  • Ability to wear a respirator (in some designated areas)
  • Must past post-offer physical and drug screen
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperature and noise levels.
