Hubbard, part of Akralos, is hiring a Utility Operator in our Iowa City production facility. You will operate and maintain equipment across the feed and supplement production lines, ensuring safety, quality, and timely output. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to SOPs, and strong attention to detail.

The position requires the ability to work second or third shift and lift up to 55 pounds, with benefits starting on day one including health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor the production line efficiency to ensure timely load and shipment.

A Utility Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of animal feed and supplements. They ensure that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently, while adhering to safety and quality standards. The Utility Operator also performs routine checks on the equipment and reports any issues to the maintenance team. This role is essential in ensuring the timely and efficient production of high-quality animal feed and supplements.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to operate and maintain production equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performing all processes in accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures, including the operation of mixing, bagging, spray drying, fluid bed drying and powered lift equipment.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in feed, grain or supplement processing or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to work second or third shift.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically able to operate motor vehicle and forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 50-55 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to wear a respirator (in some designated areas)
• Must past post-offer physical and drug screen
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperature and noise levels.
