Gehl Foods, LLC is hiring a Utility Operator for the 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm) in Walterboro, SC. You will support cross-functional production lines, set up equipment, conduct line rework, and ensure accurate paperwork in real time.

The role requires forklift experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while lifting up to 55 lbs. We offer a competitive hourly wage, on-demand pay, quarterly bonuses, and a full benefits package.

Formación

• 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a food, process, high-speed packaging or Form-Fill-Seal industry.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Technical knowledge of aseptic processes, equipment and products.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Work with cross functional production teams and provide coverage to various lines or processes.
• Makes proper hook-ups and line set-up activities for starting and operating lines.
• Organizes and executes rework.
• Ensure line communication boards are filled out.
• Trains new team members on-line operation, including equipment and control system operation, documentation and sampling requirements.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and communicating production issues to Supervisor.
• Safely operates a forklift in order to keep assigned work area supplied with necessary production materials.
• Audits line staff’s paperwork to ensure paperwork is filled out accurately and in real time.

What You’ll Need

• 3 years of manufacturing experience, ideally in a food, process, high-speed packaging or Form-Fill-Seal industry
• Previous forklift experience
• Technical knowledge of aseptic processes, equipment and products
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to interpret, communicate and execute plans or instructions in a time sensitive manner with limited direction and resources
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 55 lbs)
• Team-player mindset who shows up on time and ready to work
