Position: Vessel Utility Operator

The Vessel Utility Operator is responsible for the final assembly and inspection of welded vessels, ensuring they meet specifications and delivery requirements. The role includes post-weld treatment such as sandblasting, hydroblasting, and painting or powder coating as needed.

Compensation and Hours

Hourly pay ranges from $18 to $19. Hours are Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform setup, final assembly, and inspection tasks on welded vessels.
2. Conduct minor preventive maintenance on equipment.
3. Maintain records of equipment operations.
4. Communicate regularly with team members and management regarding concerns, discrepancies, and improvement ideas.
5. Follow safety requirements and work safely at all times.
6. Keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Skill and Experience Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and interpret work instructions, manuals, and job packages.
• Proficiency with computers and computer-controlled equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to accurately read measuring tools and perform basic math calculations.
• Manufacturing setup experience is preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated with high attendance.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs and move about 20 ft.
• Ability to grasp, pull, and push using material handling equipment.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.

Pay Range

$14.40 - $21.60 per hour.
