Weidmann Electrical Technology in Urbana, OH is seeking a full-time Utility Operator for the paper machine. You will support a 24/7 operation in a 3-2-2 schedule, ensuring productivity while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of manufacturing experience (paper mill preferred), and ability to use precision measuring tools. Training and cross-training opportunities are provided, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of manufacturing experience (paper mill preferred).
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment (ruler, caliper, micrometer).
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment and cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal and machine safety and maintain a clean work area.
• Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot product quality and order specs.
• Retrieve order data and documentation from SAP.
• Assist in machine maintenance and perform periodic tasks.
• Move materials around the paper mill and stock prep area.

The role…

As a member of the Urbana team, you will be responsible for achieving optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position supports a 24/7 operation working a 3-2-2 schedule rotating 2 weeks 7a-7p then 2 weeks 7p-7a.

How You’ll Make An Impact…

• Comprehensive understanding of personal and machine-specific safety
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment
• Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot the quality of product and customer/order specifications
• Retrieve order specs, documentation, and order data to/from SAP
• Assist in machine maintenance and perform periodic maintenance to the machine
• Move material to and around the paper mill and stock prep area

What Do You Bring…

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of manufacturing experience (paper mill experience preferred)
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper, and micrometer
• Ability to read work instructions and apply them to the job
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Ability to train others and willingness to cross-train
