Utility Operators are responsible for following the Plant Schedule and ensuring the packaged product meets plant workorder requirements. This position will be for 2nd shift 2PM - 10AM.
1. Inspects van trucks/flat beds and loads before shipping them following the plant instructions.
2. Fills out paperwork such as: plant orders, sample tags, lift truck inspection reports, etc.
3. Operates, monitors bagging system, and keeps all bag weights in spec. Bagging systems will consist of manual and supersack filling.
4. Warehouses finished product and scans it into inventory before end of shift.
5. Keeps work area, warehouse and outside of plant in a neat and safe condition using good housekeeping. Reporting all unsafe conditions to Supervisor or Leadman on shift.
6. Helps with preventive maintenance and downtime maintenance repairs.
7. Employees must learn and observe all applicable company policies and safe practices and perform all duties assigned by supervisor. This description covers the significant duties of the job but may not include occasional assignments which would be within the evaluation of this job.
8. Knowledgeable of the ISO quality system as required to ensure compliance to the ISO 9001 quality standard.
9. Follows FSMA guidelines in the daily production of product.
10. Sends samples of packaging product to Lab as required on day produced.
11. Puts scan labels, placards, FSMA and codes on all bags/sacks for shipment.
12. Restocks production materials in designated areas before starting a different order.
13. Dumps non-conforming product or places it in the reject area tagged with a red reject tag.

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicant's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.

[$22.52 -$24.16]
In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
