Job summary

Amcor is hiring for a manufacturing role on our Iowa line. The position requires 2-5 years of manufacturing experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced setting. You will follow safety rules, operate line equipment, and support various setup and waste-management tasks.

We value punctuality and the ability to read and follow packaging instructions, with opportunities to grow within a global packaging leader. This is a full-time, on-site role with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Attendance and punctuality are crucial.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team setting.
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and packaging specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe manner, following all safety rules and procedures.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations.
  • Assist Operators in putting lines up.
  • Assist with lacing bag machine, winder & separators.
  • Assist with setting up gussets, slitters, bubble guides, winders & baggers.
  • Verify weights and counts of product, while maintaining correct carton and skid counts.
  • Responsible for pulling, weighing, managing & putting away scrap.
  • Setting up resin for incoming shifts.
  • Fill stock cores and maintain core inventory at lines.
  • Dispose of empty carts and cores.
  • Assist with covering breaks.
  • Empty trash containers into outside dumpsters at shift end.
  • Pull work orders.
  • Maintain clean and organized lines.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work 12-hour shifts.
  • Attendance and punctuality are crucial aspects of this position.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team setting.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others.
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and packaging specifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present findings to a wide variety of audiences.
