HP Hood, LLC - Utility Operator with CDL License

HP Hood, LLC, one of the largest branded dairy operators in the U.S. for over 170 years, is seeking a Utility Operator with a CDL license to work in our Warehouse Department at our Concord, NH location.

Shift Availability

Two shifts available: Sunday & Wednesday off; 3:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. or 3:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. with Sunday & Wednesday off.

Job Function

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager, the Utility Operator will follow established procedures for working inside the warehouse, moving trucks and trailers, prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency to meet company goals. Responsibilities include supporting warehouse operations as assigned.

Essential Functions

1. Identify, select, and send inventory using wireless headset system.
2. Manually remove product from conveyor, stage, and rotate following FIFO methods.
3. Push/pull stacks of milk cases repeatedly.
4. Load trucks according to standards, verifying load instructions.
5. Maintain a safe and efficient work pace.
6. Keep work environment clean and safe, including truck interiors.
7. Unload trucks and trailers, wash trailers/trucks after unloading.
8. Receive finished products and materials, check for damages, and ensure quality.
9. Operate commercial trucks, trailers, and yard equipment.
10. Perform safety checks on all vehicles.
11. Complete routes, secure loads, and finalize shipments.
12. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 21 or older
• Valid CDL license with a clean driving record
• Valid D.O.T. Medical Examiner's card
• Availability to work any 5 days including holidays, with short notice for overtime
• Excellent driving, coordination, and manual skills
• Basic math and reading skills
• Good communication skills

Physical Demands

Constant walking and standing, driving, pushing/pulling heavy loads, lifting up to 50 lbs., exposure to weather conditions, and working in temperature variations from 34-85°F. Ability to work with arms outstretched, squat, kneel, climb, and work with various weights.

Food Safety Responsibilities

Maintain food safety and quality, complete temperature checks, ensure trailer sealing, and comply with SQF standards. Serve as backup for shipping/receiving roles.
