About the Role

Holcim US, a leading supplier of construction materials in the US, seeks a Floating Operator to support operations at the Recycling division in Clinton, MD. Responsibilities include operating and configuring equipment, overseeing heavy machinery, and performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate heavy equipment (preferably excavators & front loaders).
  • Inspect, repair, and adjust plant equipment.
  • Report repairs and safety concerns to the Area Manager.
  • Complete work orders, install and repair metal structures, and ensure safety.
  • Perform welding and routine maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Maintain inventory and prepare reports.
  • Support team members and respond to emergencies.
  • Perform repairs on processing equipment and grounds.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a plant or industrial environment.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50%.
  • Good communication skills and knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and follow safety procedures, use hand and power tools, lift 50 lbs.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and PPE use, including respirators.
