Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking a Utility Operator for a client building infrastructure across North America. The role involves operating heavy equipment, performing groundwork, and maintaining site safety and cleanliness.

You will monitor utility systems and assist with routine maintenance as needed. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and strong mechanical & troubleshooting skills, plus the ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience operating utility systems preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate loader, backhoe, and skid steer safely and efficiently
  • Perform groundwork and general labor tasks
  • Follow road construction best practices and maintain site awareness
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues as needed
  • Monitor utility systems and adjust for efficiency
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Assist with additional duties as required
