Job summary

Quality Talent Group is hiring a Utility Operator to support safe and efficient operation of loader, backhoe and skid steer in a fast-paced Maryland-site. You will perform groundwork, routine maintenance and help monitor utility systems for efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, ability to read manuals and schematics, and strong communication skills. Safety and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating utility systems preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills and safety focus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Operate loader, backhoe, and skid steer safely and efficiently.
  • Perform groundwork and general labor tasks.
  • Follow road construction best practices and maintain site awareness.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues as needed.
  • Monitor utility systems and adjust for efficiency.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Assist with additional duties as required.
