Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. seeks a Utility Modeling Engineer to support planning, analysis, and design of complex water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems.

The role focuses on hydraulic modeling, multi-phase development, and capital improvement planning. The engineer will develop master utility models, evaluate lift station design, pump selection, and system efficiency, and collaborate with municipal utilities and developers to deliver data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in utility engineering and hydraulic modeling.
• Advanced proficiency with Bentley WaterGEMS and Bentley WaterCAD.
• Experience developing water distribution, wastewater, reclaimed water models, and force main analyses.
• Experience supporting utility master planning studies and phased development projects.
• Knowledge of lift station design, pump selection, and wastewater conveyance systems.
• Familiarity with GIS integration and utility data management.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and calibrate hydraulic models for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems.
• Use Bentley WaterCAD/WaterGEMS to evaluate system performance under current and future conditions.
• Prepare technical memorandums and utility planning reports.
• Coordinate with land development teams to integrate planning into site development strategies.
• Mentor engineers and designers in hydraulic modeling principles.
