This role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Performs manual labor with water meters, uses iPad/work orders, operates light equipment, and maintains PPE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 1 year of related experience.
• Current and valid driver’s license required.
• Must be available to work evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Safety sensitive position with mandatory drug testing.
• Ability to lift heavy items (~50 pounds).
• CDL may be required; candidates must obtain Class A CDL within 6–9 months if not currently licensed.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor including hand excavation and heavy lifting for water meters.
• Use basic hand tools and maintain PPE.
• Follow safety instructions for construction work.
• Use iPad to complete work orders in the system.
• Operate motor vehicles and small construction equipment.
• Maintain personal protective equipment and comply with safety protocols.
• Communicate with supervisors about issues and respond to customer inquiries.
• Work as part of a team in Meter Operations and Public Utilities.
