Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Wisconsin is looking for a part-time maintenance technician to support our production area. You will monitor and remove waste, keep work areas clean, and assist with minor repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient facility.

Ideal candidates have at least a year of maintenance or facilities experience, a high school diploma or GED, and basic mechanical aptitude. A forklift and basic tools will be used daily in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and remove waste from production workstations.
• Sort scrap materials and load designated trailers using a forklift.
• Sweep and maintain production areas and exterior grounds.
• Perform general facility housekeeping and maintenance.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Support painting, building repairs, and other maintenance tasks as assigned.

Pay and ShiftPay: $19.00/hShift: Flexible (24-32 hours)Monitor and remove waste from production workstations and dispose of materials in the appropriate waste streams.Sort scrap materials and load designated trailers using a forklift.Sweep and maintain production areas, exterior grounds, and the area surrounding the sawdust trailer.Perform general facility housekeeping and maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities as directed.Support the installation, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment and property.Assist with painting, minor building repairs, and other general maintenance projects as assigned.Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.Support other team members through collaboration and communication.Day-to-day direction provided by supervisor.Preferred QualificationsOne year of maintenance or facilities experience preferred.High school diploma or GED preferred.Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.Physical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and twisting throughout the shift.Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.DisclaimerForte Opening Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
