Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Thorp, WI is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Technician for 1st shift (5am–3:30pm). The role involves monitoring and removing waste, sorting scrap with a forklift, and keeping production areas clean and safe while supporting preventive maintenance and basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and remove waste from production workstations and dispose of materials in the appropriate waste streams.
• Sort scrap materials and load designated trailers using a forklift.
• Sweep and maintain production areas, exterior grounds, and the area surrounding the sawdust trailer.
• Perform general facility housekeeping and maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities as directed.
• Support the installation, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment and property.
• Assist with painting, minor building repairs, and other general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
• Support other team members through collaboration and communication.
• Day-to-day direction provided by supervisor.
