Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground with paint and flags to prevent damage. We provide on-the-job training and equip you with skills to succeed in a 100% paid training program.

You must enjoy outdoor work in all weather and be able to work independently with strong problem-solving abilities. Pay starts at $22.00 per hour, with company vehicles provided for daily use and a home-to-work commute option.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work in all weather
• Ability to work independently and problem solve with speed and accuracy
• Willingness to learn on the job and follow safety procedures
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
• Physical ability to walk up to 5 miles a day and lift up to 25 lbs with aids

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities using provided equipment
• Read maps and blueprints to determine locating sequence
• Document tickets and communicate with peers and supervisors
• Use company vehicles and fuel cards for daily commute
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures
