Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry-level and experienced Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground with paint and flags.

We will train on the job and provide 100% paid training. Expect outdoor work in all weather, independent problem solving, and a focus on safety and accuracy in daily field duties. This role begins with a starting pay of $20 per hour or more based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to walk up to 5 miles daily 2–3 times a week.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, or more with aid; up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Training to locate underground utilities and read maps/blueprints.
• Document tickets and emails using a tablet.
• Locate utilities accurately using provided equipment.
• Communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
