Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Big Spring, TX is seeking a Utility Laborer to join our team. You will perform a variety of tasks as part of a crew to help ensure safe and efficient jobsite performance.

This role offers a friendly, team-oriented environment with hands-on training and opportunities for advancement. The position may require travel, nights or weekends, and outdoor work in variable weather.

Qualifications

• Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Occasionally performs general laboring duties, such as shoveling and raking stone, gravel, earth, and topsoil material.
• Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery.
• Regularly erects, positions, and moves sign packages in a safe, accurate manner, adhering to state specifications.
• Move traffic control devices regularly lifting 30 lbs and occasionally 100 lbs.
• Occasionally direct traffic through construction sites using proper equipment and procedures.
• Occasionally lift heavy objects.
