Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Big Spring, TX is seeking a Utility Laborer to join our crew. You will perform varied tasks on the jobsite to support safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with general laboring, signaling equipment operators, moving sign packages, and helping manage traffic control while following safety protocols. The role requires physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors, nights, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing experience.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Willing to work outside in the elements.
• Wear proper PPE when required.

Responsibilities

• Occasionally performs general laboring duties, such as shoveling and raking stone, gravel, earth, and topsoil material.
• Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery.
• Regularly erects, positions, and moves sign packages in a safe, accurate manner, adhering to state specifications.
• Move traffic control devices regularly lifting 30 lbs and occasionally 100 lbs.
• Occasionally direct traffic through construction sites using proper equipment and procedures.
• Occasionally lift heavy objects.
