Job summary

Hirebridge LLC in Big Spring, TX is seeking a Utility Laborer to join our team. You will perform varied general labor tasks on a busy construction site, from shoveling and raking to assisting with traffic control and equipment signals.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of relevant experience, and willingness to travel, work nights, weekends, and outdoors. PPE is provided and opportunities for overtime and advancement exist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Willing to work outside in the elements.
• Wear proper PPE when required.

Responsibilities

• Occasionally performs general labor tasks such as shoveling and raking stone, gravel, earth, and topsoil.
• Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery.
• Regularly erects, positions, and moves sign packages in a safe, accurate manner, adhering to state specifications.
• Move traffic control devices, including lifting up to 30 lbs and occasionally 100 lbs.
• Direct traffic through construction sites using proper equipment and procedures.
• Occasionally lift heavy objects.
