Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a Utility Coordinator to manage identification, protection, and relocation of utilities for infrastructure projects. You'll interface with utility owners and project teams to coordinate design and construction activities.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 5–10 years of utility coordination experience, PE license preferred, and proficiency with MicroStation/GEOPAK/OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• Minimum 5–10 years of utility coordination/design experience.
• PE license preferred; strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with utility design and coordination for infra projects.
• Proficiency in MicroStation/GEOPAK/OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage complex utility projects and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate identification, protection, design and relocation of utilities.
• Interface with utility owners and project teams to define roles and timelines.
• Lead subsurface utility engineering activities and design/constructability reviews.
• Prepare scopes, fee estimates, budgets and monitor project delivery.
• Monitor relocation schedules and resolve construction utility conflicts.
