Job summary

200main in Highlands, NC is seeking a dishwasher to support the kitchen team during restaurant hours. The role focuses on keeping dishes, glassware, silverware, and equipment clean, along with maintaining clean walkways and common areas.

Qualifications

• Provide serving items and cookware to kitchen and waitstaff as needed.
• Assist with removing trash, deliveries, and completing opening/closing lists when time allows.
• Ensure chemicals and equipment are in stock and in working order.
• Help with general kitchen prep when able.
• Other duties may be assigned by the Chef.

Job Details: Job Location: 137 S 4TH ST - Highlands, NC, Salary Range: Undisclosed, The Utility Dishwasher works as part of the kitchen team to keep all dishes, glassware, silverware and kitchen equipment cleaned throughout the course of operation hours of the restaurant. They are responsible for keeping their areas, communal walkways, floors and common areas clean.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, safe and efficient dish area
• Provide kitchen and waitstaff with the serving items and cookware they require to serve guests in a consistent, reliable fashion
• Aid in removing trash, putting away deliveries and completing opening and closing lists, as time allows
• Ensure all chemicals and required equipment are in stock and in working order
• Help with some general kitchen prep when Able
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Chef

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a commercial or hotel kitchen is preferred
• Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
• The Dishwasher is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, often in a hot environment
• The Dishwasher must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
