Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field required; 2+ years of utility line clearance experience preferred.
• Species identification skills and invasive species knowledge.
• Knowledge of utility line clearance concepts and safety practices.
• Industry certifications (ISA - Certified Arborist/Utility specialist) within first year.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning/removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data (species, size, distance from conductors).
• Validate data across databases for reporting accuracy.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices.
• Service trucks and equipment; keep vehicles tidy.
