Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Contract Utility Forester to protect communities and power lines while working outdoors. You will collaborate with utility clients, property owners, and contractors to plan vegetation management safely and effectively.

The role emphasizes field data collection, hazard assessment, and adherence to safety practices, with opportunities for professional growth in a nationwide team that values integrity, innovation, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field.
• 2+ years experience in utility line clearance.
• ISA certification within first year.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strong verbal and written communications.
• Willingness to travel and work in rugged terrain.
• Knowledge of tree growth rates and invasive species.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning or removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data including species, size, and distance from conductors.
• Verify data across databases and ensure accurate reporting.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards.
• Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Service trucks and equipment, keeping them neat and organized.
