Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Utility Foreman for projects in the Northern VA/DC/MD area. You will supervise crews performing roadwork, utilities installation, earthwork, and grading in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, training workers, enforcing safety, coordinating materials, and maintaining records. Five years of related experience and strong leadership are preferred; OSHA competent person status is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience and/or training in utility/roadwork.
• Experience with water/sewer pipe installation and grading.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints.
• Strong leadership and training abilities; OSHA competent person preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews documents and plans before proceeding with activities.
• Directs and trains crew to follow contract drawings and specs within budget.
• Ensures safety regulations and PPE are followed; acts as competent person as needed.
• Plans ahead to ensure materials are on hand and coordinates two-week schedules.
• Maintains time sheets and production records; monitors progress and problems.
