Job summary

Kokosing is seeking Utility Foremen for projects in the Northern VA/DC/MD area. The role involves supervising and coordinating workers in roadways and utilities installation, grading, and earthwork, ensuring conformance to plans and safety standards.

Responsibilities include training crews, directing activities, reviewing plans, and maintaining production records. Candidates should have five years of related experience, experience with water/sewer pipe installation, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Five years related experience and/or training.
• Experience with water/storm/sewer pipe installation, grading for roadways.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Reviews documents and plans and answers questions before work.
• Reads blueprints and plans to determine dimensions.
• Directs and trains crew within contract drawings and specs and budget.
• Acts as OSHA competent person on job and enforces safety.
• Maintains time sheets and daily job diary, and keeps records up to date.
