Qualifications

• Must have valid Texas driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to communicate in English (read, write, speaking).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must respond to emergency call-back within 30 minutes.
• Texas CDL required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Possession of water/wastewater licenses or ability to obtain.
• Must obtain Class 1 wastewater collection and Class C water distribution licenses within 3 years.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of city utility equipment and facilities.
• Participate in repair of water and wastewater mains and services.
• Assist in testing water and wastewater lines for leaks and locating lines.
• Pull and install meters; replace meter boxes as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety at work sites and during repairs.
• Work on-call and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
