Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring for a 2nd shift position in Storm Lake, IA. The role requires data accuracy, scales operation, and handling of feed ingredients with attention to safety protocols.

The job entails loading/unloading, batching and pelleting operations, and QA checks on ingredients. Physical work in varied environments with potential overtime and safety compliance. Benefits discussed during hiring.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing
• Follow and Operate within Tyson Health and Safety protocols
• Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Stand, Sit, Walk, climb stairs with sustained activity
• Complete all tasks assigned by management
• Minimum of 6 months continuous employments with previous employer

Responsibilities

• Record data accurately.
• Operate scales and document incoming ingredients through the ticketing system.
• Operate equipment to unload feed ingredients and route to storage silo.
• Operate computerized pelleting and batching systems to batch, pellet, and route finished feed based on run schedules.
• Obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredient.
• Lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients.
• Operate loading equipment and ensure correct feed type is loaded and sent to farm.
• Sign and abide by Biosecurity Guidelines including an avian species avoidance.
• Maintain good housekeeping in service areas.

• Schedule - Monday - Friday
• Hours - 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
• Pay - 23.45/Hr. plus 1.00 shift premium also an extra 1.00 attendance bonus

Job Description

• Ability to accurately record data
• Ability to operate scales and document incoming ingredients through the ticketing system
• Ability to operate equipment to unload feed ingredients and route to appropriate storage silo
• Ability to operate computerize pelleting and batching systems to batch, pellet, and route finished feed based on run schedules
• Ability to obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredient
• Ability to lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients
• Ability to perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools
• Ability to operate loading equipment and ensure correct feed type is loaded and sent to the correct farm
• Ability to organize/flex task and change priorities throughout the day
• Ability to take Feed bin inventory
• Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
• Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
• Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species
• Maintain good housekeeping including service areas
