Job summary

SPORTECH VENUES INC is seeking a part-time Dishwashing and Kitchen Support role in Windsor Locks, CT. The wage is $16.94 per hour. You will operate dishwashing equipment, sanitize all wares, and maintain a clean dish area to support a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities include restocking, handling glassware and tools safely, basic prep assistance, and following food safety procedures. You will work as part of a team, helping during rush hours and communicating needs to leadership.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure all dishes, utensils, and cookware are cleaned and sanitized to standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, floor drains, and waste disposal zones
• Restock clean items to kitchen and service stations efficiently to support continuous workflow
• Handle glassware, knives, and equipment safely and properly
• Assist with basic prep work including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients as directed
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
• Support kitchen team during rushes by transporting product, disposing of trash, or running food as needed
• Communicate supply needs and maintenance issues promptly to kitchen leadership

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (cases of product, bus tubs, equipment)
• Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and handling of dishware and prep items
• Repetitive hand and wrist motions for washing, scrubbing, cutting, and prep tasks
• Working in hot, humid, and sometimes wet environments
• Ability to move quickly and safely around a bustling kitchen
• Prior dishwasher or kitchen support experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to jump in wherever needed
