Job summary

Brigantine-Restaurants is seeking a Dishwasher to clean and organize all dishware, pots, pans, and utensils. You’ll help keep the kitchen efficient by properly storing items and maintaining a spotless work area.

No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. The role offers $16-$19 per hour plus tips, with benefits for full-time employees and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishware, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Keep back of house clean and organized; manage coolers/freezers.
• Clean floors, dispose of garbage, and maintain restroom/parking area cleanliness.
• Maintain safe work area and handle hot equipment.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and receive ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers.

Job Summary:

The Dishwasher is responsible for washing all wares including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers. Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned areas. They help keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintains the dish area ensuring that all dishware, glassware, utensils, pots, & pans are thoroughly cleaned & sanitized.
• Cleans and organizes the back of house, including coolers, freezers, and storage areas.
• Cleans floors and removes garbage in front of house and back of house, restrooms, and parking lot.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers.

Requirements

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools, such as knives for chopping, slicing, cutting, and dicing.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, wipe, and handle extreme heat for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
