Job summary

Tradition Senior Living, LP is seeking motivated team members for the dishwashing position in the Houston area. The role supports the kitchen by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishware, utensils and pots, coordinating with staff to maintain a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities include operating dish machines, manual washing when needed, handling trash, and following safety and sanitation policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Arrives to work in full dress guidelines, looking professional.
• Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using dishwasher or by hand.
• Operates dish machines to company and manufacturer specifications.
• Uses proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer in the dish machine.
• Removes all garbage including bags, cardboard boxes and misc. trash.
• Sweeps and scrubs the floor.
• Maintains and clean and organized kitchen and dish area.
• Other duties as directed by Executive or Sous Chef.
• May assist in the unloading of delivery trucks.
• Follow safety and sanitation policy at all times.

This position is responsible for working in coordination with our kitchen and wait staff to ensure a proper supply of clean dishware, utensils, glassware as well as cooking utensils, pots, and pans.
