Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Technical Coordinator to deliver professional-level coordination for complex utility engineering and infrastructure projects in Denver, CO. You will engage with utility owners, clients, and agencies to resolve conflicts and advance project objectives, while reviewing technical deliverables and managing stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field and at least 4 years of utility experience, with proficiency in Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in utility engineering, utility coordination, or related activities.
• Experience interpreting multidisciplinary engineering plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with SUE, federal and local utility policies, permitting processes, and ROW considerations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate utility engineering and coordination activities for transportation projects.
• Coordinate and evaluate Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) activities.
• Identify, analyze, and help resolve utility conflicts across water, wastewater, stormwater, gas, electric, and telecom systems.
• Prepare and review utility exhibits, conflict matrices, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with utility owners, clients, consultants, contractors, and regulators to advance project objectives.
• Lead or support utility coordination meetings and maintain project records and submittals.
• Assist with utility relocation planning, permitting, agreements, and cost estimates.
• Support construction-phase activities including RFIs and field coordination.
• Review plans and technical deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Coordinate the work of junior staff and CAD personnel.
