Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Denver, CO is seeking a Technical Coordinator (Utility Engineering & Coordination) to support complex transportation projects. You will coordinate utility engineering, SUE activities, and stakeholder engagements with multidisciplinary teams to resolve conflicts and advance project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in utility engineering or coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders on infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate utility engineering and utility coordination activities for transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate and evaluate Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) activities.
• Identify, analyze, and help resolve utility conflicts involving water, wastewater, stormwater, gas, electric, and telecommunications systems.
• Prepare and review utility exhibits, conflict matrices, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with utility owners, clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to advance project objectives.
• Lead or support utility coordination meetings, track action items, and maintain project records and submittals.
• Assist with utility relocation planning, permitting, agreements, cost estimates, and technical studies.
• Support construction-phase activities, including RFIs, field coordination, and utility conflict resolution.
• Review plans, calculations, and technical deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Coordinate the work of junior staff, technicians, CAD personnel, and consultants.
• Participate in proposal development, presentations, and business development activities as needed.
