Job summary

IB Abel seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee Transmission and Distribution utility construction projects from start to finish, focusing on planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. The role requires thorough, precise work and strong teamwork in a fast-moving environment.

Local to Pennsylvania with regular travel to offices and job sites; some flexibility to work from home when appropriate; ability to manage client expectations and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• An acceptable combination of education and/or work experience within the contractor industry (Electric Utility preferred) with Project Management Certification desired.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project Management.
• Proficient in MS Office applications with strong skills in Excel, Word, and MS Project.
• Local to Pennsylvania (preferable) but with regular travel to other offices, customer facilities, jobsites and yard locations for offsite meetings (flexibility to work from home when appropriate).
• A 'can-do' attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents, schedule outages, manage material delivery, and ensure on-site readiness.
• Serve the client, resolve issues, and attend final project walk-down with the customer.
• Coordinate pre-construction planning and progress meetings; visit sites weekly.
• Submit weekly revenue/cost reports and manage change orders with accounting.
