Job summary

ElectriCom is seeking a Laborer in Lafayette, IN to support telecommunications and utility crews. This role performs general labor, operates hand and power tools, prepares work sites, and assists equipment operators and foremen outdoors in all weather conditions.

Travel to job sites, including overnight assignments, is required. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and collaboration to deliver quality work and opportunities for skill development within ElectriCom.

Qualifications

Must be able to perform physically demanding labor tasks.
Valid driver's license required; CDL highly desired.
Willing to travel to job sites including overnight assignments.
Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Perform general labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying, and site preparation.
Operate hand and power tools as needed (air hammers, tampers, chainsaws, trenching tools).
Clean and prepare work sites; remove debris; load and unload materials.
Assist equipment operators and foremen with daily field activities.
Work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions.
Travel to job sites, including overnight assignments; overtime may be required.
Participate in required training and perform traffic control as needed.
