Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Construction Engineer to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of capital construction projects within the Distribution Capital Projects Construction group. The role emphasizes safety, cost certainty, and schedule adherence across new and upgraded distribution lines and automation upgrades.

The engineer will develop plans, manage contractors, and oversee scope, risk, and procurement.

Qualifications

• Leads without formal authority and communicates clearly with stakeholders.
• Able to estimate scopes of work and develop RFPs and bid packages.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and outage coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop class estimates, scopes of work, construction plans, and outage plans.
• Provide input to Project Execution Plan and work scope definitions.
• Oversee safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance during construction.
• Coordinate with supply chain for proposals, evaluations and contract awards.
• Lead pre-construction meetings and ensure compliance with Entergy specs and standards.
• Close-out projects with as-builts and final documentation.
