Job summary

Entergy is seeking an experienced leader to drive early-stage project development across Distribution, coordinating cross-functional teams to define scope, cost estimates, and execution plans within Entergy’s Stage Gate process.

The role focuses on optimizing capital investments, communicating project risks, and guiding teams through Stage 3 funding while collaborating with planning, engineering, and construction groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of utility experience.
• High degree of analytical skill and ability to quickly understand business impacts.
• Understanding of cost recovery and financial differences between capital investments.
• Strong communication and conflict management skills.
• Extensive experience with Distribution operations including construction and reliable operation of Distribution facilities.
• Leading a team that is not centrally located.

Responsibilities

• Serves as liaison among planning, project management, construction and engineering groups, external stakeholders, and company leadership to align project scopes and lead early-stage development activities.
• Leads teams in developing cost estimates and managing Stage Gate approvals for early-stage project funding decisions.
• Leads team to produce and deliver project execution plan documents needed to support Stage 3 funding.
• Guides a system-wide team in defining project scope across reliability, planning, and resiliency efforts, including conducting field visits with the team for scoping projects.
• Maintains and improves cost-estimating tools for Distribution by integrating Maximo data, coordinating potential tool updates with input from design basis, engineering, project management and construction teams.
• Leads a team that identifies, tracks, and communicates project risks to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Leads team that identifies opportunities to streamline capital investment between transmission and distribution projects.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction-related field or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
