Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts in Sparta, NC is seeking a motivated Utility Climber to join our field team. The ideal candidate has 6–12 months of tree care experience with utility line clearance and significant climbing experience.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL and prior tree industry experience.
• Experience with utility line clearance and climbing.
• Able to work 45 hours per week.
• At least 18 years old with HS diploma or GED.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather.
• Willing to obtain CDL A/B within 6 months (paid for by employer).
• Willing to obtain and maintain licenses/certifications as required.
• Pass post-offer physical, drug screen, background and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Tree climbing and removal of vegetation from work areas.
• Operate forestry equipment (bucket truck, woodchipper, chainsaws) safely.
• Perform line clearance, pruning and removals.
